Feb 08: The RDI is aiming to bridge the gap by integrating an iPod dock and DAB/FM radio together. Then unit is a fine piece of kit with a nice touch being the slide-out iPod dock.
Whilst the clock, alarm, and radio functions work well, the DAB and iPod functions let the unit down.
Firstly, the RDI doesn’t seem to pick up as many radio stations as other units in the same location. Then to add to that, the actual quality isn’t that great either. Speech stations are great with good clarity but ask anything more demanding from the RDI and you’re asking for sound that grates just that bit too much.
